Jolyn M. Kanning has been Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) since April 2026. Ms. Kanning has spent her entire career with First Interstate, joining the Company in 1997 and serving in various banking and audit positions. She served as Chief Audit Executive from 2010 until her appointment as CRO. Ms. Kanning has extensive experience advising risk management strategy, policy, and process, as well as a deep knowledge of regulatory guidance and expectations. Ms. Kanning is a graduate of Montana State University and Pacific Coast Banking School and holds certification in Risk Management Assurance.
